| Dear friends,Last week, as part of the protests linked to the People’s Health Tribunal that we are co-organising, we took action against Total in London by targeting their funder – Standard Chartered. We showed up outside the Standard Chartered AGM where speakers from communities around the world demanded: no more carbon bombs, no more genocide and no more displacement. The pressure is working. Just a few days ago, after relentless targeting by activists and communities—Standard Chartered announced they will no longer fund the East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline. This is a massive win for our movement but so much more needs to be done. |
