After intense negotiations and pressure, the Metropolitan police have agreed to allow protestors to head down Whitehall on Tuesday 4 June and hold a rally within a hundred metres of Downing Street while Donald Trump is having lunch and doing a press conference with Theresa May at Number 10. We will then march to Parliament Square, effectively surrounding Trump.
Thanks to everyone who signed the petition and campaigned to make this possible.
Together Against Trump has also called a protest outside Buckingham Palace on the evening of Monday 3 June to coincide with Donald Trumps banquet with the queen.
We can now announce that the details of the Together Against Trump protests are as follows:
Monday 3rd June, 5.30pm: Protest at the Palace: Spoil Trumps Banquet – The Spur outside Buckingham Palace, SW1A 1AA, and local protests around the country. Bring pots and pans, vuvuzelas, musical instruments etc and make some noise!
Tuesday 4th June, National Demonstration, No to Trump – Assemble Trafalgar Square 11am, march to Downing Street and then to Parliament Square.
We are asking all our supporters to spread the word as widely as possible on social media.
The national demonstration event on the 4th is here. The protest at Buckingham Palace event on the 3rd is here.
In particular, there will be a Twitter storm using hashtag #TogetherAgainstTrump on Sunday 2 June, the evening before he arrives between, 6 and 8pm. Please email all networks ASAP.
